Thar be Monsters!

Web got is analysis posted on Dr. Curry's blog. Good job BTW with the energy well.

He hits the nail on the head with the latent heat of fusion boundary. The latent heat of evaporation should come along soon. Basically, it all boils down to available energy. The 390Wm-2 at 288K is the stumbling block. With 79Wm-2 average latent, the effective global average radiant energy is 311Wm-2 not 390Wm-2 which appears to not be properly considered. More CO2 forcing would increase the latent flux reducing the available energy by shifting the effective surface average radiant layer upward. Pretty simple really.

Oh, for the guys at RealClimate, it is not genius, it is common sense. I always thought there was a difference, maybe not.
